Ligature Marks is an American metalcore band from Portland, Oregon formed in 2017. The lineup consists of members from some of the Pacific Northwest’s most hailed metal projects. Vocalist Benjamin Charles (SYX, Twenty Shades of Red), guitarist Karl Whinnery (Proven, Vintersea), guitarist Josh Whinnery (Proven, Nova Eyes), drummer Chris Meskill (Inflikt), and bassist Glen Thonis.

Strongly influenced by bands like , and the sound of their debut album Set Oceans on Fire earned them incredible popularity in the Pacific Northwest; with them being specifically chosen to perform with bands such as: , , and . The album, performances, and their unique approach to their videos, including interesting release parties in haunted vintage theaters and a state of the art planetarium, have continued to push the band forward in 2023. 

Set to release “Edge of an Echo”, a brand new single and music video are forthcoming. The track is a unique blend of classical acoustic and electric guitar with haunting and tormented vocals.
